The car used for this guide is a VW GOLF 5 [MK5, V] GT (1.4L TSI Engine – 170bhp).
Follow these simple steps in order to replace your Cabin’s Air Filter:

VW GOLF 5 GT (1.4L TSI Engine – 170bhp).

1 The Cabin Air Filter is located inside the car underneath the glove box.

2 To get access to the Cabin’s Air Filter firstly you have to remove the 2 bolts which hold the part shown in the picture in place (this part looks like it is made of pressurized foam). Unscrew these bolts with your hands. No tools needed. Then try to pull down the foamy part starting from the back and move it accordingly in order to release.

3 The Cabin’s Air Filter is hidden inside this area.

4 Push the plastic cover which holds the Cabin’s Air Filter in place to the left to release.

5 Pull down the Cabin’s Air Filter.

6 Notice the difference between the NEW and the OLD Filters.

7 Put the plastic cover which holds the Cabin’s Air Filter in place to the bottom of the new Cabin Air Filter and push it into place.

8 Push the plastic to the right in order to lock.

9 Put the foamy part back into place starting from the front and move it accordingly in order to sit into place.

10 Screw the two bolds with your hands and you are done.
