My name is Michael Anastasiou and this is my personal website. I was born in Cyprus where I joined the Archangelos Lyceum in Nicosia (1999-2002), having as my area of specialisation Computer Engineering. I believe that this was the initial step that determined my decision to pursue a career in the multidimensional and rabidly developing field of Computer Science.
My studies in higher education commenced in Sep 2002, when I had undertaken a three-year diploma course at the Higher Technical Institute (HTI) in Nicosia for Computer Studies, which I completed successfully.
In Jun 2005, I joined the military of Cyprus in order to complete the two years of compulsory army service.
In Sep 2007 I continued my studies at the University of Hull, where I obtained direct entry to the final year of the BSc (Hons) Computer Science degree course, from which I graduated in June 2008.
Nevertheless, I aspired to continue my academic career further to an MSc level. Thus, in Sep 2008, I was registered as a full-time masters student at the University of Bristol, where I completed the MSc in Advanced Computing – Internet Technologies with Security.
